I know this is last minute, but if you are free, come out and join us. Join us as we welcome Jake Hawkes, the winemaker for Hawkes Wine to Brosia in Miami. Guests will taste the award-winning wines from Hawkes and sample light hors d’oeuvres from Brosia. Here is the menu: * Hawkes 2006 Chardonnay: The Hawkes Chardonnay is delicate. This is a Chardonnay meant to be crisp and refreshing and to express the beautiful taste and smell of fresh fruit from a region known for great Chardonnay. * Hawkes 2004 Merlot: This single vineyard 100% Merlot: dry and spicy, deeply colored, with almost aggressive tannins offset by delicate flowery aromas and a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg from the French oak. * Hawkes 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon: 92 Points by the Wine Enthusiast. Estate grown and produced in the Alexander Valley. 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon. Great varietal character. Very representative of the Hawkes’ house style – dry, fruit-driven, soft from bottle age, but built to last. Cherries, dust, cedar. Food to be served includes: Gazpacho "caprese" shooters with reduced balsamic, olio verde Prosciutto and melon skewers with arugula, shaved pecorino, walnut vinaigrette Phyllo wrapped asparagus with truffle oil and parmesan Marinated beef skewers with mojo canario, tzatziki dipping sauce Herbed goat cheese crostini with tomato jam and balsamic drizzle
