This fun-filled event will feature a comparison of wines from California versus Washington/Oregon, presided over by Dine's wine columnist Patrick Sullivan. Guests will also enjoy a series of appetizers created by Chef Jason Feinberg that pair perfectly with the variety of wines offered.

You are invited to a benefit party, billed as 'Howley's Retro Revival and Darfur Film Fundraiser' on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Howley's 24 Hour Diner at 4700 South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, from 7PM -11 PM.

All are invited to participate in a 50's Fashion Show with a grand prize to be awarded to the 'wearer' of the most inspired Retro attire. Christin Bilotti's original track , "You Got to Have Faith" and bass player Richard Shepherd and Robert Goodman's ode to Darfur entitled "Story" will be debuted against a distinct African groove by DJ Adam Lipson. A delegation of celebrity activists from Toronto, Los Angeles and New York will be counted among the invited guests.

A $10 donation will help fund the completion of Mohamed Hassan's feature length documentary, "Death in Darfur-the Truth". With 40 hours of footage shot last year in the state of Darfur, Sudan (Africa's largest country) the work-in-progress provides a glimpse of what the United Nations calls "the worst humanitarian crisis of this century". Because of Hassan's heritage and ethnicity he has had access to behind-the-scenes with interviews that are closed to others. The Sudanese President , Secretary of State Colin Powell ,Condoleeza Rice, members of the Janjaweed armed militia, Sudanese Liberation Army and Angelina Jolie, a member of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees are all in evidence in Hassan's uncut film.

All donations will be credited at the end of the film and a trailer of the film will be screened in a private viewing area at Howley's that night. A World Premiere of Death In Darfur -The Truth is planned to coincide with additional fundraisers this Fall.

Bruce Feingold & Rodney Mayo are devising a tasting menu inspired by June Cleaver. Betty Crocker is their menu muse. Gourmet Four Cheese Macaroni in Martini glasses, Touch Vodka (R) Lime jello shots with maraschino cherries and One Barrel (R) s'mores chocolate cocktails will be sampled. Space is limited so call early for Dinner reservations. Tasting bars will be provided by Potions in Motion with 50's inspired specialty cocktails being created by the Liquor Group's and Potions in Motion master team of mixologists. Brand Ambassadors from Peroni Nastro Azzuro, Perfect 1864 Vodka and Wasmund's American Made Single Malt Whisky will also be pouring one for the Cause.
