Git your best recipes out and polish your habanero peppers. We are talking HEAT! The colder it gets, the hotter we want it!
I'll host the cook-off at my apartment. I have a six burner gas stove and can accommodate some on-site cooking. I'll also fire up a batch or two to challenge all comers along with my famous Habenero Cornbread. Haven't rolled out my Chili Verde in a while... :-)
Donations of beer, wine, sodas and anything else to cool the tongue definitely appreciated.
This is a wednesday after work. My personal suggestion is to cook your chili the night before, then add spices and re-heat here for the party. Chili is always better after a bit of aging anyway.
Let me know if you want to be a judge. Asbestos tongue recommended! I'd like at least 5 judges and hopefully at least as many batches of chili.
