  •  Hi Audrey, yes I just had another baby, Jan. 24th. I have to get back to some of the meetups but it's been kinda busy lately. I can't really go for walks right now, I don't have a double stroller. I usually go for short walks with them. Shawn can't walk that fast, so I don't want to hold anyone up. But if you wouldn't mind a slow walk or maybe just getting ice cream or so, let me know.

  •  New York has excellent dim sum - it's sort of far away. For Boston, I drive to Riverside station (an hour and a half) then take the train into town. I have not been to Butterfly of Chengdu for dim sum, didn't even know they have it. Used to go to the place next to Ah Tong on Shield Street, but that place was not very sanitary and now is gone anyway. What town are you from?

  •  Dim Sum would be great. Let me know. In fact, in the summer, we should get real ambitious and carpool to Boston for dim sum.

  •  Hi Aurdrey, I don't know how to play mah jong but am willing to learn. I live in South Windsor. Meriden is okay but New Haven might be a little too far unless it's in the summer.

  •  Hey Audrey,
Relating to you what I relayed to Sarah, weekends would probably work the best for me since I am usually busy most days during the week. Anyway, the only thing about playing mah jong is it can get really noisy with the blocks banging against eachother, so I don't know how that will play out if we go to a library. You can send me an email at [masked] to figure out the logistics.

  •  Hi Audrey,

Excellent! November is a really busy month for me, but shall we try to plan a meetup, maybe one evening in New Haven (or the surrounding area). I can check with the New Haven Public Library to see if we can use their upstairs room, or we could always meet at one of the coffeehouses downtown. Let me know what you think, and what your schedule's like!

  •  Hi Audrey,
My name is Andy, I have one other person who would be interested in playing Mah Jong and she has a set as well with a scoring sheet. We just got into playing and would love to get others to play. Let me know. I left a message with Sarah as well.

  •  Hi Audrey, that sounds great!! (And I love the name too!) I'm fairly sure that we could meet in the New Haven Public Library, but if there's definite interest in starting a group I can find out for sure. Do you have a MahJong set or know where to get one? The ones I've seen online are quite expensive ($200+)

  •  Hi Audrey, How are you? I plan to try to get to the next meeting and give it a try. My German is rather rusty! My husband mostly speaks hessischer Dialekt to our son - the rest of his family speaks Hochdeutsch. So I am picking up more Dialekt at the moment. Is Adam still in German School?

  •  Hi Audrey, if you are still up for it we could meet this wednesday. I would have to call you or you have to call me cuz I don'y know what time I will be back from my meeting. Otherwise we can just do it the following wednesday. Just let me know what will work for you. And if we need to exchange numbers. Look forward hearing from you. Yvonne

  •  I'm not sure if next week wednesday will work for me. I'm a member of a german speaking playgroup also and they have a meeting on wednesday. So I'm not sure if I would be back at noon. It is in the morning but it is about an hour drive for me to get there. Maybe if another day would work for you or than the following week. That would be just great. Yvonne.

  •  Hi Audrey, sorry that I didn't write back sooner. The last couple of weeks were kinda crazy. So far I haven't been able to attend any of the meetings. I would love to be able to meet you maybe outside the meetup somewhere here in Southington. Just to get me kinda started with the group. My husband doesn't really like th idea that I found that group online and that there are men in the group. So maybe we can meet sometime before I meet the whole group. Viele liebe Gruesse, Yvonne.

  •  Hi Audrey, I just joined this group and I was looking at everybodys profile and I saw that you are from Southington. So am I. I'm German, but lived here for the past couple of years. I'm looking forward to meet you in one of the meetups. Gruesse, Yvonne.

  •  Thanks, Audrey, for the info on Green Tea. My Chinese teacher recommended it. So far, for me, I only like Szeshwan (sp?) Delight in Hamden for Chinese food (no dim sum, though I go to East Melange for that (also Hamden)). If you ever go to RI, I recommend Dragon Pheonix on Providence for cuisine & ok dim sum. Otherwise I prefer NY.
