Some of us are getting together Friday, July 11, 2008 to hang out on the beach by Seaside Johnnies in Rye. If you would like to join us, bring a blanket or chair, food to gnosh on, and a beverage of your preference.
This event has been popular in the past with Wine and Dine Group and I have gone many times and have had a great time.

We are meeting on the beach at 6:30 PM. When you enter the beach, walk to the left. We will be by the lifeguard stand near the jetty. We can watch the Playland fireworks from the beach which starts at 9:15 PM and then decide what to do from there.

Parking at the Seaside Johnnies/Oakland Beach parking lot is $5.

Weather permitting. Check your e-mail on the WineDineguide Westchester Dining and Fun Group website on Friday afternoon after 3 PM to see if the event is cancelled. If you DON'T see a cancellation, the event is still on.

I collected $34 dollars and half of the money will go to Lisa for the American Breast Cancer. Waiting to hear from other Organizers... If you wanted to give a dollar but did not get a chance, its never too late. You can send $1.40 via Paypal which clears as a dollar or give double next time. Your choice, it's sort of a voluntary/ honor type of thing.

What a great meetup last night at Oakland Beach. This is one of my favorite meetups of the summer- it's always nice to see and to talk with old friends, and of course, make some new ones. The fireworks and view of Playland were great, the pcinic was fabulous and the socializing was a blast! See ya soon!

Bobby has declined my offer to run this event from Organizers United and also refused to step up as organizer of that group. We're all grown and vaccinated people and no body spread our blanket or chair at this event before so I'm sure we all know what to do! See you all at 6:30 and we'll go from there. Our mailing list is open so you can send a message to everyone in the group if you have an idea worth sharing for this upcoming event.

I'm glad and in agreement with Bobby that he should collect money for the event and send it to charity, after all he does not have to pay for the website. On another note, this morning I've deleted an adjective that appeared by Jim's photo and now it reappeared, is t coming from another website? I hope so...
