Our August meetup is at Sophie's French Bistro. This is a little out of our normal area, but it is a great little restaurant. It is located in an old house and is small and quaint. Perhaps not quite the level of ambiance we sometimes get, but the food is great. If you want to check out the menu, go to their website at sophiesbistro.com.

Sophie's is currently running a Tuesday special on wine. With each entree, you can buy a bottle of wine at half price. They would not promise the special would still be running when we get there, but they think it will be. So should we try some really expensive wine at regular prices? Or should we order our normal wine and just have a lower bill? Or should we all just drink twice as much as usual? I guess it will depend on the group that attends!

We always order wine for the table, add a 20% gratuity and split the total bill by the number of people attending. Please bring cash to make this process easier. This dinner will probably cost between $70 and $90 depending on the price of the wine.

About a week before the event, I will send an email to all who indicated they will attend, asking you to confirm your reservation. Please respond to this email to help me reserve the right size table.

    Hi, I'm new to the entire Meet-Up groups, and was looking forward to it...HOWEVER, I had both feet operated on, so I will not be able to make it for awhile. Thanks! Sherry
