Singapore is home to the descendants of immigrants from China, India, The Malay Peninsula, and its surrounding islands, representing a diverse cultural heritage. Despite differences in ancestry, Singaporeans are uniquely passionate about their food, and with good reason. For close to two hundred years, neighbors in this melting pot have been sharing recipes and exchanging culinary secrets, developing and perfecting the art of Singaporean cuisine. The resulting experience ably reflects the varied cultures of Singapore and the culinary ingenuity of its food-loving people.
