We are now going through a big change. For over two years we were "Picnicking Plus Visiting Science and Nature Places." However that concept did not work because almost no one from that group ever showed up for the events. Now we are going back to our original group concept of "Indian Food Lovers."
Membership is limited to people who belong to at least one of my two other meetup groups: "Walking in San Francisco for Health and History," or "San Francisco Wine Lovers Group." Also, to send a "Yes" RSVP one must have attended at least one event of either of my two other meetup groups. We do this because it is better to know the other diners a little bit before having dinner together and so that they have more in common than just the food.
Also, if one is interested in going to science and nature places one should join my walking group.
We go only to the restaurants with the highest ratings of the San Francisco Department of Public Health, such as "Sultan" and "Bindi." I do not mean to imply that Indian restaurants violate health codes more than other restaurants. It is a good idea to look up the health violations of any restaurant. Organizer, Howard S.
We go to Bindi for the second time. Bindi is a brand new Indian restaurant. It, like Sultan, is medium priced and has very high ratings with the SF Public Health Department. It is just one block from the Montgomery Street BART Station. No guests are allowed because I need to know how many and who is coming. I will have a seating chart and have name tags on the table for attendees to find their seats. Read more
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
