On Wednesday October 14, 7:30pm, Hugh Ashton will be at the Kimono Wine Bar, Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo, reading from his latest book, Beneath Gray Skies, which takes a look at an alternative 1920s world where the American Civil War was never fought. Intrigue, espionage, Zeppelin airships (and romance!) form key
themes of this full-length novel. He will also talk about the joys and perils of alternative publishing.

The charge for this event is ¥3,000, which includes one drink (wine, etc.), snacks, and a personally signed copy of Beneath Gray Skies (if purchased through Amazon Japan, this costs about ¥2,600). Guests bringing their own copies of Beneath Gray Skies for signing may enter for ¥1,000 (and receive the free drink and snacks).
