Who

You should come if you eat food.

Why

Za serves pizza & salad like no other place in the known universe. It's original. And it's inexpensive. Yes, dear snobs, you can be high-falutin' and save money too.

Organized by

"Ask the host."

Details

We had a great time at Za back in January, and it will be a happy return. See pictures under "Photos".

As always, the $2 fee is just to cover my Meetup expenses.

Here are the Details from last time:

I boycotted Za for a year after it opened, stupidly thinking it was just a pretentious pizza joint. Well they do serve pizza, but it's not a joint, and the food is unlike anything you've ever experienced. And it's good! Fare is simple: they have pizza, they have little mounds they call salads (which I particularly love) and they have beer/wine.

Their web site is: www.zarestaurant.com
Pizzas are perhaps $15 and Salads perhaps $8.

Parking is easy in Arlington.

We had a great time meeting and eating with Harold and Amy. They are great food tasters (i wanted to use the word connosiors--but unsure about the spelling)-so they are great with food critiques. All should come and have a great time. Dharma.

"The salads were marvelously creative. I would be happy making a whole meal of them. The pizza's were very high quality. Others loved the macaroni and cheese pizza. I can't imagine why. "

"Great people energy. The first red wine-Montopeli...... . (not sure sp) had a interesting medium body with a sweet dessert hint--i enjoyed it Salads were tantalizing--senses were awaken--varies infusion of vegetables and crunchy bits to get everyone to praise and critique. I am not one for praising pizza--thoughs the varieties of pizzas were welcoming--i enjoyed all the topping--no dough for me did not have desert so i think last night's food snobs gathering was a mashing success! see you all and more members soon.
