About The Denton Dining In/Out Meetup Group
When Kathy and I moved to Denton, we were surprised to find there is no 'new comers' nor welcoming organization here. Having the community respond to new residents with a jump start on a social network makes the transition easier and more enjoyable. Denton has a lot to offer but knowledge of what, when and where is largely 'tribal knowledge'...you have to be part of the tribe to know.
So we found the meetup.com website and decided to start our own welcoming organization.
Since we eat out many times a week, dining in/out was a natural starting point.
We schedule events at local restaurants where all are welcome to join us at their leisure. No expectations, but to meet new and old friends and have a good evening of conversation and sharing experiences.
We have nothing to sell and no agenda, hidden or otherwise. Just friendly people seeking others to share an evening.
