We'll meet at 6:45pm in front of "and ride at 7pm to Dockweiler or Playa Del Rey. FREE parking at this location and lots of it. PLUS, if anyone is interested afterwards we can hang out at The Pithcer House for some entertaining fun, brewskies and ping pong. biggrin


Bike Rental Places
Hermosa Cyclery?also the Spectrum Club has free use of bikes if you are a member. I think the Spectrum just got new ones to (they are in King Harbor) (Thank you to Premier Member Barbara for this info.)

If Interested in Purchasing a Bike
Try the following: Target, Costco, Craigslist, Pennysaver or The Daily Breeze have inexpensive good bikes. Jolly purchased a Schwinn mountain bike at Target for $180. It has several different gears on it. I recommend a bike that has different gears since you may ride up hill at times.
Or? if you don't mind going to Santa Monica to buy a bike, ask Neal and he can probably get you hooked up with a deal on a good bike.

Safety:
Make sure to have lights on your bike for evening rides. You need to have a headlight on the front of your bike and a red reflector on the back of your bike. Red Flashers, recommended, but not required, can be purchased at this ride if John Silva is present. Lights can be purchased at any local bike shop. Helmets are required by law if you are under 18 years of age, and highly recommended if you are over 18 years of age. You may be warned or cited by the police if you don't adhere to the law. For those of us who are enjoying the bike rides. There is an upcoming theme ride coming up with our FRIENDS from South Bay Cruisers. The Organizer John has allowed Premier Events to extend and invite our Members with his posted rides. Check them out! South Bay Cruisers
Many of our Premier Members including Jolly & Neal have ridden with this Group and we have had a blast. There next event is THIS Friday night 6/20. Please be sure to RSVP with Premier Events for SB Cruisers and theirs too. We're in for a FUN summer! cool
