Wednesday Bike Ride Along The Strand

We'll meet at 6:45pm in front of the Pitcher House. At 7pm we will split in to 2 groups (a faster paced one and a slower paced cruiser one) and ride to Playa Del Rey. There is FREE parking at this location and lots of it. PLUS, if anyone is interested, afterwards we can hang out at The Pitcher House for some karaoke, drinks, and tacos.

Bike Rentals
Hermosa Cyclery has a variety of bikes and rates.

Also the Spectrum Club has free use of bikes if you are a member. I think the Spectrum just got new ones to (they are in King Harbor) (Thank you to Premier Member Barbara for this info.)

If Interested in Purchasing a Bike
Performance Bicycle has a good selection, good pricing, and great customer service.
Multi-speed bikes are reccomended but, certainly not required.

Safety:
Make sure to have lights on your bike for evening rides. You need to have a headlight on the front of your bike and a red reflector on the back of your bike. Red Flashers, recommended, but not required, can be purchased at this ride. Lights can be purchased at any local bike shop. Helmets are required by law if you are under 18 years of age, and highly recommended if you are over 18 years of age. You may be warned or cited by the police if you don't adhere to the law.
