Hello everyone,
Once again we are trying to differentiate our dining guide, http://www.twincities... The first is Sip-N-Sample. This program has been bringing in over 100 guests into various restaurants on weekday evenings 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Guests pay $25 or $45 per couple and they get samples of the menu and wine. These are all upscale destination restaurants that have a great reputation and would cost these customers far more for just the wine at these restaurants. Restaurants get great exposure and guests get a great deal! I love it when it's a win-win. Another program is called Business Meets Pleasure and it's a networking event held at many of these same upscale restaurants but I have gone to some that are not at restaurants. When held at restaurants the guests are given a ticket in exchange for their business card. The ticket is then surrendered to the bartender for a free drink and the guest can then mingle with other professionals. At non-restaurant venues they typically collect a business card but all the drinks and appetizers are provided. This is different than just getting a drink and a discount on the bar menu. The event I went to was for town homes and they were close to downtown and they were beautiful. I almost wanted to move from my first ring suburb, five bedroom home but my friends who were in the middle of retiring did move there so I guess they work too. For those interested in going to an event just go to the Twin Cities Dining Out MeetUp Group. From there you can buy tickets at a discount by using TCDine in the code or saying TCDine at the door. If anyone wants more info please feel to email me at jim[at]TwinCitiesDiningGuide.com. Warm regards, - Jim |
